The RequirementsTo be a good fit for the Sales Executive, Personal Lines opportunity, you will have:
- A minimum of two years of insurance industry experience
- An active personal insurance license, or the ability to quickly obtain one upon hire. We pay for all associated training and fees.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent. A bachelor’s or associate’s degree; or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Proven computer skills. Experience with the Applied Agency Management System or similar program is a plus.
- Bilingual Portuguese/English is a plus.

The RoleRole Overview
As Sales Executive in our New Bedford location, you will be responsible for new business sales for personal lines, but will also have the opportunity to help existing customers round out their insurance portfolios for optimal coverage. Leads will be generated via call-in, email and walk-in prospects (leads are split between five sales executives, including yourself, dispersed across locations), through your own strong prospecting efforts, and by optimizing the portfolios of existing customers with whom you'll work. Once you have made the sale, account managers take over and support the business, giving you the time to get back to what you do best -- sell. You will primarily work from the office, but will also be free to travel to a client's location for a sales appointment when needed.
Working in the New Bedford Office
We operate in a supportive team environment, and you’ll work closely with Account Managers, Processors, as well as other Sales Executives in our New Bedford office and across our 8 other branches. You will report to the Branch Manager while also working with the Senior Vice President of Sales. Both leaders are seated at other locations but are available to help via phone and email. Additionally, the Branch Manager will typically be on site one day per week.
You will be the only Sales Executive, Personal Lines on site in New Bedford, along with two Personal Lines Account Managers. There are also other team members, including those focused on commercial account management. On a daily basis, you’ll work with customers and carriers to analyze policies and exposures and resolve any coverage requirements according to FBinsure guidelines. You will manage all aspects of the initial sale including the marketing, application, and payment process.
Onboarding & Training
Initially, you'll be immersed in our comprehensive training program in the Middleboro, MA office. Through FB University, you will gain an understanding of our operations, policies, procedures, and overall workflow. You will also be assigned a mentor who will help guide you through the training process, instill confidence and answer questions.
